MIM - OHurricane Binding GuidelinesBrierfield Insurance Company adheres to the following guidelines governing the binding of new and additional property and casualty insurance when a tropical storm or hurricane develops within a specified area.
Whenever a storm reaches such size and strength to be deemed a tropical storm or hurricane and the center of the storm has entered a predefined geographic area, no new property and casualty insurance business or increases in existing coverage limits may be bound in the geographic areas defined below. The suspension of binding will remain in effect until such time as the storm has moved out of these pre-defined parameters.
The parameters are defined as follows:
North of 20 degrees North Latitude South of 38 degrees North Latitude East of 97 degrees West Longitude West of 80 degrees West Longitude
