Thomas Quaka, CPCU
Tom has served the insurance industry as a member of the ISO Advisory Committee, the National Council of Compensation Insurance Rating and Classification Committee and the Mississippi Legislative Task Force for regulatory reform. Tom is past president of Mississippi Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters, The Honorable Order of the Blue Goose (an international insurance fraternity), and the Mississippi Capital Stock Association. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Insurance Council and served as chairman of its Speakers Forum. Tom has been a member of the national faculty of the Certified Insurance Counselors Institute, having presented technical insurance seminars across the country. Tom has also served as board chairman of the Ole Miss Insurance Advisory Council and continues to serve on that board as treasurer. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Mississippi Surplus Lines Association and retains the position of Treasurer. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Mississippi Tort Claims Board for Medical Malpractice. Tom is an active member of the Independent Insurance Agents Association of Mississippi and has served on its Technical Conference Committee as well as its Executive Committee. The Independent Insurance Agents Association of Mississippi recognized Tom's dedication with its highest honor in 1991, awarding him the prestigious J.H. Johnson Memorial Award for distinguished service to the insurance industry.Tom continues to be active in church, community, education and legislation.
